What we do
Our counsellors will listen without judging and will help you to explore your personal thoughts, feelings and experiences.
We offer short-term, confidential counselling support to young people. Our qualified, experienced counsellors can provide support for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family issues, relationship difficulties, sexuality, grief and loss and many others.
Sessions last up to 50 minutes, the power always remains in the hands of the client, and counselling can be stopped at any time. We treat all clients in ways that are respectful and sensitive to cultural values, religious beliefs and gender issues.
- work through issues, concerns, worries in a safe space
- learn new skills and create positive change
- consider the implications of actions that may be taken
- increase resilience and wellbeing
The cost of 4 x counselling sessions is free to young people who meet our criteria for funding. If you do not meet the criteria but are still interested in counselling with us this can be arranged and rates will be discussed.
“From coming to counselling I’m brighter and I feel happier, before I was really down about myself and felt insecure about myself and felt like nobody would ever talk to me. Since I had my first session I’ve felt happier ever since then.”
“My life is great, there are times when I have setbacks but I now have the tools I need to deal with my problems. I’m a lot happier as well.”
